Welcome

Welcome and thank you for visiting my eGallery!  As an emerging fine art painter it is my hope that you will visit often and take delight in viewing my art.

I have been drawing and painting since childhood.  It is what I love to do.  But having a career and raising a family left no time for art.  After over 20 years as Principal of an Atlanta-based graphic design firm, I am now painting again.  For 10 of those years I trained with an artist in the Old Masters painting techniques.  My desire is to create original oil paintings that are both classical and beautiful - landscapes, scenic images from my travels both far and near, still-lifes/floral studies and portraits of any type.

As a graphic designer, my challenge is to "fill up the white space" (whether it be a page in a brochure, an ad in a magazine or a sign on a wall) with graphic elements to communicate a commercial message - "Buy This"...."Use This"...."We're Better Than The Other Guys"......

As a painter,  I use color, composition and brushstrokes on a blank canvas to communicate another kind of message - a feeling, an emotion, or the beauty of a place or a face that I want to share with you, the viewer.

For this artist, painting has been and continues to be, a journey.  My art evolves with each painting.  It is a learning process that never ends.
